COMMUNICATION WORKSHOP....5th chakra EMPOWERING BOTH sides of communication with COLLEEN GARRITY

COMMUNICATION WORKSHOP....5th chakra EMPOWERING BOTH sides of communication june 17th 1:30-4:30pm
come and expand on something we use daily. The gift of communicating. not only efficiently, but discover what your challenges are in using this tool while standing in your power, offering also the gift of empowering your listener. So that when you are expressed fully, you are also serving your audience in their own growth.
the fifth chakra governs two vessels:
speaking (outgoing expression), and also listening, (receiving).
so often what we want to express is missed....due to projections from both sides.
when the communicator is clear, grounded, it becomes clear HOW to deliver information, intimacy in a way which feels safe, and is therefore received. it can be an inspiring expericence of growth and empowerment. -a dance of energetics.
points of interest:
WHAT do you want to expresss?
WHAT old conversations may be blocking your fullest expresson?
the power of negotiating/ anchoring the receiver.
moving through the old....shedding old skins which may be holding you back.
releasing ego in order to hold space for the experience...genuinely.
-based on yogic information, but will be crossed referenced with other information as well.
we are spiritual beings living in society. these factors will be represented.

my intention is to raise vibration in this area and have each participant explore their own dynamic and create SHIFT.
We will work with the collective and together raise our own awareness of how to use the tools of communication in a new way, more comfortable in our own skins of expression.

some yoga poses, and sound involved. simple, feel good workshop designed for new/experieced yoga practioners, or simply those interesed in growing their potential.
each who attends will have space to be exactly where they are.

beniftis include:
gain effeciency in your communication.
learn to be a present and powerful listener.

good for artists, business, intimate relationships, and anyone who is interested in bringing life to this tool we use daily in ALL of our human exchanges.

LOCATION:
Center for yoga
230 1/2 n. larchmont blvd.
la., ca. 90004
323.464.1276

cost: 55$ (part of the proceeds will go to a non-proft aid for disadvantaged inner city teen girls)

i am leaving my beautiful studio apt., and would like it to go to someone in the community.
1857 n. wilton pl. #202. (2nd floor of 5) -FRANKLIN AND WILTON.
beachwood canyon/hlwd, neighborhood. walking distance to la poubelle, birds, mayfair etc.
right off the 101, 10 min. to dntn. (at the right time)

living room/bedroom: wall to wall 6ft high bay windows, with white painted wood floors. bright white walls/butterscotchy orange trim.
kitchen/dining area:
big enough that i created a work/painting space in dining part, which has a big window.
black and wht. checkered tiled floor. great counter space for those who cook a lot.
a little vanity room seperate from the main room, on the way to the bathroom which has yellow tiles chest high on the walls, and green tile floor. -bathtub. and window above that.
FOUR closets, plenty of storage space througout.
built ins and crown mouldings, 1930s s.f. style building. high cielings throughout (9ft as opposed to 7)
southfacing windows thoughout. -always bright.
pretty sound proof all the way around, i have sanded and drilled at 3am on more than one occasion and no one complained.
no parking now, but you figure out the system. there is a wait list for prking. dnstrs. but it moves slow.
great tenants, nice, like minded 30 somethings that don't get in your way but will say hello in the hall.
manager, alex, the greatest jonny on the spot if you need something.

what you ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE to get the place:
GOOD CREDIT (don't bother if you don't, there's no getting around that one)
500. deposit and first month rent of 875.
sign 1yr. lease.
-this is NOT a sublet, i just want to hook up the tribe with the place as it's so hard to get a good place for a good price.
i have LOVED living here, and am only moving to another unit in building (1 bdrm).
it is bright, feels private, and inspiring if you create the space.
tribe me if you have questions, or call the mgr. alex and drop my name.

**if interested, act fast, as people have been coming in off the street inquiring about availabilities lately, and we don't even have a for rent sign up.

alex: 213.999.1707

blessings,

I used to do spatial audio research (HRTF-based) and I'd like to continue in this field as well as maybe VR. Does anybody know of any possible opportunities? Video game sound design seems to be a good area to look. nVidia used to have a program called Soundstorm which was advanced audio for their nForce chipsets but they closed it down.

Since no one is posting much in my tribes I started nosing around a bit and found this one, through a friends link.

If anyone is tired of looking at red balloons;

I have an old, and I mean old, site where I posted a few 3D pictures back in 1995. Most need glasses for viewing a few are set for parallel free view. I can not cross eye view so I do not post them that way.

site is http://www.delectra.com/jporter/

New Voices Call for Submissions now live!

Hey Guys,

We just published the 2006 Telefilm New Voices Call for Submissions at our website - its a PDF you can download from http://www.dx.org/digifest .

Here's some info:

--

digifest has gone mod! The ‘mod’ theme - short for modern in the ‘60s - and currently used to mean modification - reveals inspiring and surprising innovations in digital design, art and cultural expression.

We invite you to participate in digifest 2006: mods, an interdisciplinary festival of the best in innovative new media, art and design from Canada and abroad. This year participants will have the opportunity to express the individual’s role within larger systems, be they political, social or corporate, through their own unique and personalized modifications to off-the-shelf products. Modification possibilities may range from personal computers to clothing; from podcasts to public space; from video games and cell phones to cars or dwellings. The do-it-yourself aspect of this year’s digifest means that the range of modifications is endless, with creativity leading the way in unconventional expression.

Each year 8-12 winners of the juried digifest New Voices call are invited to Toronto, Canada to showcase their work at one of digifest’s high-profile venues, which include Harbourfront Centre, Ontario Science Centre and Design Exchange. In 2006 we will showcase the most innovative transitions in product design from “modern” to “modification.” Work by selected presenters will be installed or displayed. Get your submission in today!

Hello,

I want to meet people interested in integrating interaction design + design communication. Specifically, interactive 3D designers/developers outside the entertainment industry.

I am interested in designing and programming 2D GUIs dynamically linked to real time interactive 3D models (space and product).

Cheers!

I have offocially tried and gotten a hard on using WebFusion 3D. It is the best way to do 3D on the web I have seen. It uses a VRML input and doesn't require plugins (aside from Java). It is fast, faithful and good looking.

You should all start using WebFusion 3.2 now. Anyone who does not is a moron.

I have a bunch of friends music that I plan on using for the demo, but have some tracks that I don't have permission to use that I would like to. As I am not selling the demo, just giving it to people do you think that this is an issue?

I've been trying out various web3d plugins, and I must say one of the more impressive ones is the anark plugin: http://anark.com/welcome.asp

Has anyone developed stuff using this? How was it?
