Re: dual proc laptop
Fri, August 27, 2004 - 6:09 PMah, makes sense..was just wondering why you would want to try and run those on a little screen like a laptop. fujitsu's my fave, but I've never inquired about dual procs.

Re: dual proc laptop
Sun, August 29, 2004 - 3:16 AMDual Processor Laptop?
I didn't think any were out yet. I know that were a couple announced about 6 moths ago, but I didn't think any were actually out yet.
There are some new dual proc min pc systems out like this one.

But, if you are running AE and Combustion then I would go with a newer 1.5GHz 15" PowerBook with a 128MB graphics card (OK I am partial to Mac))

An Alienware Roswell™m Portable.

Of course you can all ways check out Laptop Review, but they are usually behind the curve on new stuff.

Hope this helps. -

Re: dual proc laptop
Tue, August 23, 2005 - 4:21 PMConsider heat. Dual procs will likely generate a lot of heat that might compromise stability. I'm running a P4 3.2ghz laptop that is: 1) heavy, 2) has poor battery life due to power consumption and 3) runs HOT! I can only imagine what ANOTHER processor would do (read: explosion!) On the plus side, I am really happy with my current config, and have had few problems with it.
